I have installed JRE on my PC an installed eclipse 3.2.2 also from the following link

I have extracted the zip file onto my desktop and clicking on the eclipse application file present inside the eclipse folder and then getting the following error message:


"

An error has occured.See the log file

C:Users\Myname\Desktop\eclipse\configuration\1317594193587.log


Everytime I click on the eclipse application file I get an error message and a separate number log file is created.


For your reference I'm attachign the above log file.Please find it attached and help me in installing this software.

Which version of JRE are you using? You might have to use atleast Java 1.4.

It's jre-7-windows-x64.

I'm downloading it from the website.

The error has changed now. I have downloaded 32 bit JRE and JDK. Now it says:

Java Virtual Machine Launcher:

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.


Please help me what to do?

Try Java 1.5 or 1.6 and not 1.7.

The problem you facing might be because you are using JDK-32 bit and your windows is 64 bit.
use JDK 1.5 or above (1.7 should not create problem) but try finding JDK in 64 bits.
