On WindowsXP for NLS testing we set our locale to be, say German. Then
brought up Eclipse. Eclipse rightly shows up with the German
translations. The problem is that when we launch a java application from
Eclipse, the locale of the launched application is reset back to English.
This doesn't happen on Windows 2000. There the locale of the launched
application is also German. We are not specifying any locale info in the
launch configuration. It should be picking it up from the current system
setting, which is German.
Does anyone have any idea of why on XP the locale gets reset back to
English for launched applications from Eclipse?
