My company is very restrictive when it comes to what software to run on your PC. I have managed to get the admin to install the latest version of java and I can now run the latest version of eclipse.

I am running eclipse on a windows XP SP3 machine with 1 GB of ram. Everything is fine except when I try to open the eclipse help, the web page is unavailable. I get the
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://127.0.0.1:4204/help/index.jsp?

The following error was encountered:

Connection to 127.0.0.1 Failed
The system returned:

    (111) Connection refused
The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

I am assuming there is some local computer network restriction or firewall that is blocking my request and ability for the help system to function.

How can I get the eclipse help system working under such conditions?

Thank you.

Did you try asking the admin why 127.0.0.1 (which is a ubiquitous
address for the local machine, aka "localhost") is blocked?

Also, you can access the same Eclipse help content online at
http://help.eclipse.org/
