Snaps - can one snap have multiple hosts? [message #725613] Thu, 15 September 2011 06:58 Go to next message

I've just started exploring Virgo Snaps, with a view to using it to provide themes (CSS, images) to a number of web apps. I basically have 3 web bundles providing different functionality around a common database. I want to be able to change the look & feel of the apps for different customers (using Spring themes).

At the moment I am duplicating the theme files in each web bundle so I'm looking for a way to separate out these resources. Snaps seems a pretty good fit except I'm unsure if I can have a single 'theme snap' attached to multiple host bundles. Is this possible?

Cheers,

Simon.

Hi,

This is currently unsupported but it's a very good suggestion. It would be great of you could raise an enhancement bug on us, just explaining the requirement as you have here.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi (we are under RT-Virgo).

Thanks,
Chris
