Hi Till,
Sorry for the late reply.
Yes indeed we have some dependencies on GMF, but that should not be at
the core, you are right.
If you want to contribute, you can so it by cloning the eclipse repo and
making some patches.
I'm pretty much alone on that project, thats why it is kind of "on hold"
since february.
I hope you do have time to contribute, it would be much appreciated.
