Hi,

I have a UML profile and I want to create custom diagram types from this profile. I searched in the svn and online but I could not find any documentation/example how to do this. How can I do this? Is there any documentation for this task?

Many thanks for your help,

Manwlis

I wonder if this is useful though it is not directly associated with profiles http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/modeling/org.eclipse.mdt.papyrus/trunk/examples/others/org.eclipse.papyrus.example.diagram.simplediagram/docs/PapyrusDevelopperTutorial_OnDiagramCreating.odt

As Neslepeaks indicated, this is not related to UML profiles and rather
explains how to create new diagrams for UML (what can be quite helpful as
well). You may look into the SysML sources, in particular the
oep.sysml.diagram.common, oep.sysml.diagram.ui and
oep.sysml.diagram.requirements. From what I've seen so far (since the
question Manwlis stated is important for me as well), it introduces some
Papyrus-specific "simplifications". I've found some new EMF models, which
are obviously used for GMF generation, but are not further explained...

I think without help from the Papyrus developer community, you won't find
the best answer.

Thank you both for your replies.

Since one of the strong/selling points of Papyrus is its customisation capabilities, there should be some documentation which covers this area. Building a profile is one thing, but building a modeller dedicated to the profile is another. I hope that the developer team will put some time and effort in the future to provide a tutorial covering this area.
