I wonder if exist some documentation for developer new chart type. Ex: bullet, thermometer, etc.

BIRT has extension points to add your own chart type. In the third
edition of Integrating and Extending BIRT we wrote a chapter on how to
do this. I did a ppt on this at EclipseCon. Take a look at this
download to get the ppt and example chart type that just does line segments.

BTW you may also want to look at the source as we added a Radar chart
using the extension points. The code is in two plugins (One for the
designer and one for the runtime) Note that the designer actually
requires both plugins.

The plugins are
org.eclipse.birt.chart.examples (designer)
org.eclipse.birt.chart.examples.core (designer and runtime)
