I try to Embed Jetty as a Bundle in Equinox.

I basically got it to work but following problems occured during the "SETUP"
but
I was not able to import the CVS project org.mortbay.jetty under TOOLS
Project ORBIT fully. Somehow it only imports the .project and readme.txt
file. Does somebody know why?

I also have another question. Is session management included in Jetty?

I try to implement Session Management into OSGI. Is anybody already working
on this task?

Thanks a lot for your answer

Hi Janos,

Orbit manages multiple versions of 3rd part libraries so the HEAD is really
a place holder. Specific versions of the bundle are stored on branches. The
branch you want is v5_1_11. You can use Team->Switch to another branch or
version...

With that said, It's a lot easier to just import the Jetty based Http
Service Teamset from
http://www.eclipse.org/equinox/server/http_in_equinox.php. The correct
branch selection and projects are already set up for consumption.

Hi Simon.

Thanks for the hint. I have another question regarding to Jetty in OSGI.

My task is to have a Delegate Servlet which generates for each user (per
Session) an instance of a class.
These intances should be referenced by an ID which could be transfered
through Session (URL or Cookie). Basically
the requests will be delivered to the correct instance of the class.

The generated objects will be destroyed after a session timeout.

I am a beginner with servlets so if you have a hint or advise let me know.

Thanks

Hi Janos,
If you need explicit lifecycle support on objects stored in the session have
them implement HttpSessionBindingListener.
