Hi,

Does Server Explorer support MySQL?
I tried to establish a database connection with MySQL, I click the "test
connection" and it works. But in the Server Explorer view, it does not
show any of my scheme.

Can anyone please help?

Thank you.

The supported databases are listed in the left-hand (Database managers)
pane of the New Connection wizard. MySQL is not supported.

In order to support MySQL, a data definition needs to be created as
explained in the RDB whitepaper at

http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/wst/components/rdb/Data%20To ols%20Open%20Source%20Overview%20for%20Eclipse%20database%20 Developer.html#_Creating_a_new_database
vendor

Once the database definition is in place, it will appear in the database
managers pane of the connection wizard. You should then be able to
connect using the Other driver option.

Is built-in support for MySQL planned? It this mostly a license issue? Or
just something you haven't got to yet?

Thanks,

Jason
