Hi,
I watned to recreate a sample (the one with the greetings dialog) and
followed closely the instructions ("Create a simple Swing application").
The instructions for "Adding a control panel" states: "... when the South
area becomes highlighted, click to drop the JPanel".
1. It seems that there is a BorderLayout involved, however that is not
mentioned.
2. I tried to set a layout manager but I could not find out how to do
this. I was hoping for a editor, but could not find one. How ca I set a
layout manager?
3. I did not find any property editor for other settings besides the title
for the JFrame.
Do I have to set the properties manually?
Thanks,
Rudi

That's the default one for JFrame.

You have to select the contentpane (add it it it's not already under JFrame)
