Hi,
I installed SDK, EMF, GEF, VE runtime from http://www.eclipse.org/vep.
Eclipse works for me, but if I want to create a Visual Class,
setup from VE stops with the Error Messages:
Error running operations
"An internal error occured during:
Create remote VM Visual Editor for Java.
In the error logfile is th entry:
Error Nov 26, 2004 01:36:38.437 An internal error occurred during: "Create
Remote VM for Visual Editor for Java".
org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException[2]: java.lang.RuntimeException:

org.eclipse.jem.internal.proxy.core.ProxyFactoryRegistry.get BeanTypeProxyFactory(ProxyFactoryRegistry.java:174)

at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:66)
It must be something with Setup of VE.
I'm new with VE, searching the whole time in the net without success, need
help.
Many thanks
Andreas

There must be more errors, but most likely it is a firewall problem.
Do you have a firewall, and is it set to allow localhost access?
If you are in some system other than windows, check your etc/.hosts
files. It should have ONLY one entry that has localhost on it, and that
entry should be for 127.0.0.1
