Papyrus and proprietary metamodel [message #702631] Tue, 26 July 2011 11:36

Hi all,

me again :-) I read the tutorial about how to build new GMF diagrams based
on UML linked with Papyrus. I was wondering whether this has to necessarily
be a UML-based diagram. Does Papyrus allow the creation of GMF diagrams
based on any arbirtrary/proprietary Ecore metamodel which are then
integrated in the Papyrus framework (make use of modelexplorer, model
listener, sasheditor etc.)

If so, Papyrus would act as the integrated development environment for DSLs,
not only for UML-based DSLs (Profiles) or new diagrams for UML. How great
would this be for the community???

Thanks a lot again

Timothy
