hello,

trying to try eclipse 3.7

I use Ubuntu 10.10, I installed eclipse 3.5 from the Ubuntu Software Center

then trying apply what on this page hxxp://wiki.eclipse.org/FAQ_How_do_I_upgrade_Eclipse%3F#Eclipse_Galileo_.283.5.29_and_beyond

but it does not work!

any suggestions?

Never, ever install Eclipse from a distro's repository. Always get
Eclipse from Eclipse. There are very few if any platforms where this is
not best practice.

Download Eclipse from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/
Install that into a new location. When it starts, select the existing
workspace you were using with 3.5.
