Do you use jdk1.4.1?
VE needs 1.4.2 because of a java-beans problem in 1.4.1.

Managed to get the SWT palette to display, but now when I try to add a
component to an SWT composite I get a NoSuchMethod error. On the composite
itself I get a warning saying 'Widget is disposed".
Any ideas?
