I got a sample GMF application from net regarding Shape.
Now All the component can be place above each other. Means we can place Component Elliptical over Component Rectangle.
How to stop doing the same.

Hi,

not sure to understand but you can use different layout (directly from model diagram) and/or create constraint when moving/creating elements to avoid superposition (using custom layouteditpolicy).
