Hello,

I have just tried the 2.4RC2 relase in Indigo and the well-known (www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/558183/) phantom node bug is still occurring. Does anyone know if the developers are planning to resolve this bug ?

Thank you.

FYI, be careful when you copy-paste the URL in your browser. If you don't include the final slash, you will end up on a completely different topic.

Hi,

please begin by report the bug with all information that you can give.
If you proposed the patch, they are more chance that the bug will be fixed in next version.

and can you check that this is not this bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=318585

Hello,

I just checked and no, my problem is different from the bug reported in your link. It's a bug related to phantom nodes, which are nodes that appear on the diagram surface (a top level node) but their domain element is not contained in the domain element related to the canvas. They are described in Richard Gronback's* book (p. 524).

I'm sorry I'm a bit of a beginner in eclipse development. Where should I report this bug exactly ?

* : Eclipse Modeling Project, A Domain-Specific Language Toolkit, Addison Wesley, March 2009.

[edit] : Sorry I found how to file a bug.
