Old EGit versions [message #691584] Fri, 01 July 2011 15:18 Go to next message

Is there a site where I can still access a .11 or .12 release of EGit?

We are using Indigo and EGit 1.0 for our main development, but that is giving us problems with Buckminster. So I want to setup a Helios environment solely for working on build and provisioning scripts. But whenever I try to add EGit through either the main update site or the marketplace, all that is available is 1.0, which is incompatible with the older version of Buckminster.

Even the main egit/updates aggregated site is only aggregating the 1.0 release site, and I can't find any references to the older site.

You should be able to find old releases under this pattern...

http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates-0.12
http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates-0.11
etc...

Is there a bug open for your problem? It's unfortunate you can't use 1.0 since it's the latest and greatest.

We are planning to release 1.1 in late September...

Thanks for the links. I'll search through Bugzilla to see if there is already a bug for the Buckminster problem, and if not will open one. I'm pretty sure this is all on the Buckminster side, not EGit.

All old releases and their p2 repositories are listed here http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/FAQ#Where_can_I_find_older_releases_of_EGit.3F
