Nebula widgets in RAP [message #69699] Thu, 10 January 2008 09:43 Go to next message

Hi,

I filed a feature request against the nebula project. I asked if they could
use Import-Package instead of Require-Bundle.
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=214867

With Import-Package it would be easy to use nebula widgets in RAP in the
future. Ok there are some limitations because RWT has not a 100% compatible
SWT-Api, but thats not a nebula problem. The limitations that I encountered
are missing key listeners, but implementing this is targeted for RAP 1.1M2
if the Plan is correct.

Greetings,
Ben

This would be a nice extension. Is anyone willing to work on this?

Hi Benedikt,
at least the DateChooser widget should be no problem.
As there is a working DateChooser widget in qooxdoo
(i.e. the underlying javascript framework for RAP) it is possible
to implement such a widget in RAP.
We've already done this in our project.
You can check the forum and the RAP Project site for any help on how
to implement your own custom widgets.
Regards

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

do I understand you answer correctly that you have a RAP DateChooser widget
based on the qooxdoo DateChooser? Is there any chance to open this
implementation to others?just asking :-)

Ciao
Frank
