When I was using BlueJ all my files are stored in a folder I specify. I am
not sure whether I can do the same in Eclipse and what is the best way to
delete a project?

I am new to Eclipse and if I am asking a stupid question please forgive me.

When you invoke the new java project wizard , you will see a check box
"Use Default" uncheck the same a browse to a folder where you want to create
the project and store the project files.
For deleting a project right click on the project and say "Delete" and
choose the option "Also delete the contents under <project>"

Hopw this helps

Many thanks. It is easy to use I just did not look closely. Eclipse is a
wonderful product. I just wish there is a user manual either online or in
print form.

Thanks again.
