[ZEST] Lazy Graph Creation [message #689934] Tue, 28 June 2011 11:54 Go to next message

Hi,

I am interested by the "subgraph rendering" functionalities of Zest 2 in order to display large trees in a progressive way.

Do all GraphNode have to be created before using a SpaceTreeLayoutAlgorithm and a LabelSubgraph or similar? Or can we create nodes in a lazy way, when subgraphs are expanded?

Regards,
Olivier.

You could create and add nodes in an action, and then expand the node. Have a look at the SpaceTreeBuildingExample, which does something similar with connections.
