Hey, is there a good replacement for StyledText in RAP? I have seen some articles that talk about this but they all reference other pages but the links to those pages are broken.

I'm trying to determine the feasibility of converting a current RCP project to RAP.

Thanks!

Hi,

there is only a basic read-only StyledText implementation in the sandbox folder in our CVS. A fully functional StyledText implementation for RAP is a major task and we can't currently do this alone. However, we have ideas about it and are looking for sponsoring or partnership.

If it's only about rich text editing, creating a custom widget that wraps an existing JavaScript rich text editor like CK is quite simple.

Best regards,
Ralf
