I am trying to copy an existing XMI resource to a newly created Teneo
resource.

After I add the root object to the Teneo resource I call save on the
resource and get an error that states that the contents of the resource
are being validated by StoreResource, and then an error that states it
found one error.

But, don't see how to determine what the error is that prevents the
resource from validating...how do I find the problem??

The store resource validates the contents before saving the contents to the database.
Can you give some more information regarding the error which is reported (message, stacktrace)?
