Hi folks,
for those who need to upload files with RAP, here are some news for you.
You've probably noticed that there is a new FileUpload widget in RAP 1.4,
which is going to replace the old Upload widget from the sandbox. In
contrast to the old widget, the new one has a different scope. It's only
a widget and does handle the uploads on the server. There is a server-
side upload handler in the incubator, as well as a FileDialog
implementation that encapsulates the entire upload process.

With RAP 1.4, we now also provide a software site (aka p2 repository) for
the incubator that provides you with pre-built (binary and source)
bundles from certain incubator projects. Currently it contains the file
upload stuff and its dependencies. So there's no need to check out
projects from CVS anymore, just include the incubator repository to your
1.4 target.
For RAP 1.4, the corresponding incubator site is:
http://download.eclipse.org/rt/rap/1.4/incubator
This repository will be updated from time to time, but always contain 1.4
compatible versions of the included incubator bundles.
We hope this helps to make file uploads with RAP easier. Please help us
improving these new components with your bug reports and enhancement
requests!
