As the topic reads...

Are there any plans for AUT Agent to support 64bit platforms?

Right out of the box the AUTAgent will run on 32 and 64 bit system (using the internal JVM). The AUTAgent is written in pure Java and may be started using the jar file and your JVM of choice.

For the next release the Agent will be replaced by an Equinox version and will be available on 32/64 bit platforms.

AUTAgent is not packaged with the Indigo release of eclipse for testers correct? And the downloads page only lists 32-bit downloads so to run AUTAgent on a 64bit linux system, the 32bit JDK must be installed. Is that accurate?

Correct for now. It will be available with SR1 in September and before that on marketplace (just like the additional DB drivers).

The installable packages include a JRE. This JRE is used by default. If you are using a pure 64bit system, i.e. without 32bit compatibility support, this JRE and various other parts of the 32bit packages won't work.

64 bit packages will be available in the near future. We have to set up test systems and extend the nightly tests to the 64bit platforms before we will ship those packages.
