Hi,

is there any support of BIRT to create a table of contents for the output
format WORD?
The table of content should be the first page of the generated report.

I assume that there is no explicit BIRT component for a table of contents.
WORD offers the possibility to insert a table of contents and to fill it
automatically using already existing headers.
May be there is a way to mark some labels in BIRT (as bookmarks or TOC
expressions or ...) and to provide in this way the information for WORD to
create a table of contents (after insertion the WORD TOC component).

The worst possibility would be that I create a list of bookmark links at the
beginning of the report to provide at least the possibility to navigate.
But in fact, I need a table of contents with "WORD style".

(In PDF I use the workaround with bookmarks and I use iText to generate a
hierarchical bookmark overview).

Best regards,
Gerald.

Gerald,

Not certain if this solution will work but have a look at:
