Are there plans to extend the SWT System Tray widget to support the new
Unity Desktop so that explicit user commands with gsettings are
not necessary to enable the Tray?

I didn't find a bug report open for this in bugzilla. Please open an enhancement request --> https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Platform &component=SWT
