I'd like to dive right in and get my hands dirty with plugin development.
My grand scheme is to intergrate Firefox into Eclipse. This would include
supporting Firefox extensions.

Am I in over my head? Or can this be done?

I'm aware of some plugin's utilizing a form of MSIE, but MSIE is worn...
there are many features of Firefox that can be proven useful from a
development aspect.

Firstly, I'm curious what plugins you plan on integrating. Just
personal here, I don't think I can help you with Firefox plugins.
