Greetings Everybody,

I was wondering if we can use EMF Compare to compare files other than .ecore .uml.

I have some models in an XML format and was wondering if there was a way of providing EMF Compare with the meta models and use it to compare those new formats.

Yes you definitely can, EMF Compare is able to compare any kind of EMF model, ecore and uml only being some of them.

See this blog post about comparing pom.xml for instance :

It also works in comparing xText based DSL for instance.
