Hi everyone!

We are currently developing feature which significantly depends on CompositeBundles as specified in OSGi R4.2 specification. I have been looking at equinox 3.7M7 and found that it is still there, however OSGi R4.3 has different approach in that case and there is some development made on a branch for new CompositeBundle support. My question is: will the old implementation be left in equinox 3.7GA?

Yes, the composite implementation will be left in 3.7 GA, but we likely will pull the implementation during the 3.8 Juno release.
