Problem:
Links to topics in forum show up as hXXp://www.eclipse.org/forums/t/208578/, which gives 404

Expected Result
Forum links show up as hXXp://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/208578/, which works

Steps to Reproduce
* Do not be logged in (maybe even clear your cookies)
* Load hXXp://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=thread&frm_id= 48 (or any other forum) in Firefox/Chrome/wget
* Topics give me href of <a class="big" href="./t/208578/">
* URL becomes hXXp://www.eclipse.org/forums/t/208578/, which doesn't work

When you're logged in, the href is <a class="big" href="index.php/t/208578/">, which works.

I am using hXXp since the forum is telling me I haven't posted enough to use a real link...

The forums are not the place to report bugs. Please enter this into
Bugzilla.

When I upgraded our forum software recently, I tried a quick hack to eliminate the "index.php" portion of the URL. It didn't work so I reverted, but you may have some pages that are still cached. If so, just hit Shift+F5 (or Shift+Reload) and all should be well.

Many corporate firewalls block NNTP.

You can often get around those, if you have any ports at all open, using
port-forwarding. That's how I do it, both on Windows
( http://www.javahotchocolate.com/notes/winscp.html#port-forwa rding) and
Linux ( http://www.javahotchocolate.com/notes/linux.html#port-forwar ding).
