A large swt widget component shall be implemented. A gantt diagram may
be an example for this component:

- a small part is visible, horizontal and vertical scrollbars are used
to scroll to currently invisible areas
- the number of horizontal and vertical elements is dynamic
- any (visible) element is choosable and shows a context menu

Simply implementing a paint listener may have poor performance if there
are many elements in the invisible are. Also the scrollbars shall
support smooth scrolling.

In which way can such component be implemented?

Markus,

It sounds like something you might want to use GEF/Draw2D to implement.

There's a gant control in Nebula.
