I am coming from .NET world, and I can say I am much spoiled by the direct ways that are found in Visual Studio for doing various tasks.

But, I could not find a single walkthrough or tutorial about consuming a webservice in little console application.

Probably I am searching at a wrong place as I am new to this environment (Last friday I started using Linux, java and eclipse for the first time).

How to consume a webservice in java using eclipse?

Thank you

Regards,
Harry

I am having trouble with what to do in the same scenario -
I have no trouble running Kathy Chan's example "Consuming Web service using Web Service Client" -
just a simple example of how to consume the Converter web service in a java console program would be an enormous help.
