In evangelizing Buckminster at EclipseCon, I think that a common issue for people was that the Bucky Book was very comprehensive, but in fact it might be *too* comprehensive, in that it sort of scares people away thinking that they have to know all of the stuff in it in order to use buckminster. OK, maybe you eventually do, but it wouldn't hurt to lie about that a bit. Wink Not that it's easy to find time to do this -- and I need to do this for my own project -- but I think what might be really helpful would be to have a really quick and dirty section at the very beginning of the manual that goes through just the very basics of what you need for a default Eclipse build, walking through the components of the simplest possible buckminster build from scratch. Alex suggested that the mailapp demo might even be a bit on the complex end and that in any case it often has issues with various platform dependencies, etc. Perhaps just do a workspace materialization and a P2 site build.
