Our client is searching for a Lead Software Engineer to develop user interfaces for the web. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership including design, implementation, deployment, and resolving support issues. You will work with a core team responsible for the entire product life cycle and will have significant responsibilities for design and implementation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and lead elegant product features with development team in US and offshore
• Act as a liaison between Product Management, Engineering and Technical support to deliver responsive solutions to highly complex software
• Be able to provide training, guidance and advice to all developers regarding product, architecture, and interdependencies, standards and processes, code and data structure
• Work with Architects, QA Engineers and Product Management to maximize the productivity of developers, increase the quality of their deliverables and the predictability of their schedule
• Influence constituents to break down high level goals into manageable tasks and timelines
• Provide thoughtful input at all stages of product development
Requirements
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent. MS a plus
• 7+ years of Software Industry experience with 3+ years experience of demonstrated success in managing teams outside US. 2+ years experience in SEM/PPC
• Progressive software design and development experience.
• Must have experience managing distributed work spread across geographies and time zones.
• Strong technical background with experience in any of the languages: C, C++ , Java , Python
• Database experience: Oracle or PostgreSQL or MySQL or any equivalent
• Web services, XML, Unix or Linux environments
• Strong organizational, people management and communication skills
• A proven track record of managing teams that deliver high quality code on time
• Background in Search Marketing/SEM/PPC
