XSD Graphical editor [message #658952] Thu, 10 March 2011 09:46 Go to next message

I know this has been asked before and I followed the suggestion which was to go here http://eclipse-plugins.info/eclipse/plugin_details.jsp?id=74 9
to the Web tools plugin.

I am using Helios.
When I try to download the plugin from here within Eclipse it says that there are other dependencies:

Eclipse Web Tools Platform Repository - http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/updates

I just want the XSD graphical editor.
I have the Eclipse dev tools for Java, C++, Orangevolt and most recently EMF, thinking that would give it to me.

I did have this nice editor a week ago, but cleaned up my eclipse a little and removed Spring and MAven and since then , it is gone.
This is the one I'm looking for:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Introduction_to_the_XSD_Editor

Can't seem to get a straight answer when trawling through google searches. Just need a plugin that will work.

Thanks for any help,
Trea

You can install the XML Schema editor from the Helios repository. http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios/

To do this go to the Eclipse help menu and select "Install New Software..." Then select the Helios repository in the dropdown. Select "Eclipse XML Editors and Tools" under the "Web, XML, and Java EE development" node and press finish. Then you should be good to go!
