Dear friends,

As we know, the TABLE_TYPE has the categories such as "TABLE", "VIEW", "SYSTEM TABLE", "GLOBAL TEMPORARY", "LOCAL TEMPORARY", "ALIAS", "SYNONYM" ,"NICKNAME" and so on..

But in BIRT data set window , user just can see the tables and views listed in the left panel. If I have synonym representing a table in Oracle, or If I have a nickname pointing to a table in the database which my IFS(Infosphere Federation Server) is linking to, I can not see them. Is this a bug of BIRT?

I know there is a workaround that we can directly type the object name(synonym or nickname) in the SQL text area, but, customer wants to see them in the left panel.

Thanks,
Ricky

Can you open a bugzilla request for this?
