BIRT Problem in Export into Excel sheet [message #646464] Fri, 24 December 2010 08:48 Go to next message

We have integrated the BIRT web application in our application.
When we add more coulmns in the BIRT design report and we export the report into excel format, the cells are shrinking. As per our requirements, the cells should not be shrinked and should take the width of the data. Please suggest us in this regard. Is there any configuration to set the width of the column ?

What version of BIRT are you using? Are you setting the width in the
report design?

I also have the same problem. I'm using Birt 232.

I'm facing this problem even with the latest version of BIRT. Isn't this fixed so far.
HTML version appears fine after I have chosen Auto Layout as the Layout Preference. But the excel format still has all the cells shrunk. Please let me know if any one has the solution.

What version are you saying is the latest version? In 4.2 and 3.7, if I have auto layout selected and set the width of all columns, I get the expected output. Are you sure you're changing all the column's widths? Or just some?
