Hi all,

I just started playing around a bit with e4 (0.11 Stream Integration Build, build id: I20101210-1840). While trying to work through some tutorials I noticed that there seem to be some poblems in my Linux installation.
If I open an e4xmi file with the "Workbenchmodel Editor", it shows only the content frame with one single entry. There is no palette or any other tooling visible.
The Visual Design Editor (I guess this one has been installed with XWT) can't open it, too.

Has anybody seen similar problems? Is this related to the Linux version (not really looking forward to trying Windows)? Is there any difference to be expected when using M3 instead of the latest integration build?

Thanks for your help!

Greetings from Germany
Axel

Hi,

You are seeing https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=332362
which is found out today and fixed in CVS.

M3 should be ok but naturally there are many internal changes the only
change users might be affected in is the one the e4xmi-Tooling has
problems with.

Hi Tom, thank you for clarification.

Will try out the next integration build and look if things changed there.

Axel
