Saving diagram figures by means of the API [message #641602] Fri, 26 November 2010 04:24 Go to next message

Hi all,
i am using Acceleo for docs generation and I'd like to add diagrams to the generated docs. My aim is to exploit the Papyrus API (if any) to save diagram's figure in jpg format. Is it possible ? How?

Thank you

Hi Andrea,

we rely on the GMF framework to support the "export as image" feature. We do not modify anything for our tool.

I would advise you to look in the GMF forums, there were some questions about this topic. See for example export ecore model to an image

The key element is the org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.diagram.ui.OffscreenEditPartFactory class.

HTH,
Rémi

Hi, you can also use Gendoc2 which generates document from EMF Models

http://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/gendoc2

A bundle managing GMF will be available soon (next week).

Some documentation is available here :
http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/docman/view.php/102/4043/TPC_GenDo c2_v1.1.0_tutorial.pdf
Gendoc2 > Videos
