Hi :)
Before posting to the Mylyn team, I would like to know if the following
is a bug :) Here are the differents steps :
1- A JIRA task is updated on the JIRA server : precisely a new version is
added to the project and the fix version of the task is modified to be now
the newly added version. For example, there were 2 initial versions (2.2.3
and 2.5), version 2.4 is added and the fix version of TASK-XXX is moved
from 2.5 to 2.4 ;
2- On Mylyn/Eclipse, TASK-XXX is opened. Fix versions listbox (Attributes
section) contains 2.2.3 and 2.5 values. Then TASK-XXX is synchronized
(F5). The link "Task has incoming changes" appears ;
3- Clicking on the link does not modify Fix versions listbox which still
contains 2.2.3 and 2.5 values ;
4- Every time the Synchronize action is done, link "Task has incoming
changes" appears even if no modification on the JIRA has been done.
It looks like a bug but did someone face this before ?
Thanks in advance for your help and your advices
Eric

You can update the server values by going to the query definition window
and clicking the appropriate button (at least for trac and bugzilla).
Does it work then?
Perhaps a new feature for Mylyn could be that new server values are
retrieved automatically when it encounters an unknown value during
synchronization. Mylyn could also display a friendly dialog explaining
that it had encountered unknown value and asks if the values should be
updated from the repository. This dialog should contain a checkbox to
disable the dialog, because maybe some bad configured repository causes
tasks to be sent out with unknown properties that can never be retrieved.
