Hi

I start with the EMF model shown in Figure 1. Where Connection has an
attribute 'connectionPolicyType' of type ConnectionPolicyType. There is
also a reference to ConnectionPolicy named 'connectionPolicy'.

I generate a GMF edtior where Connection is a Node but ConnectionPolicy
is not represented graphically. Figure 2 shows the Properties generated
where Connection Policy Type can be properly set with a drop down BUT
ConnectionPolicy presents an empty drop down.

How can the following be achieved:

I would like to be able to have access from the Properties to the
ConnectionPolicy:name. I would like to move ConnectionPolicyType from
Connection to ConnectionPolicy and also have access to the drop down as
shown in Figure 2.

I can't see any of the images you have attached. May be you should host your images somewhere public (like imageshack) and put a link here? I'm pretty new to this forum so may be I don't know how images work here, please enlighten me in that case Smile

Images work if I use Thunderbird as an news client. I can see images in
other posts in the news group.

You would also need to override the getChildFeature() method of ConnectionItemProvider in order to return the corresponding child feature of the ConnectionPolicy child object.

As I have stated above, solution 3 is complex and you'd probably face few more problems I haven't foreseen here (i've never done something like that myself). If you cannot resolve into either option 1 or 2, let's wait for an expert for a better approach Smile

Option 1 is not an option.
Option 2 is the interim solution for now.

Waiting for expert(s) to confirm option 3.
