Hi,

I am new to maven and trying to work with that but just after doing
everything while udating I am getting this error :

8.11.10 19:16:03 MEZ: Updating index central|http://repo1.maven.org/maven2

08.11.10 19:20:10 MEZ: Unable to update index for central|http://repo1.maven.org/maven2

I am using windows xp, jdk1.6, helios eclipse 3.6 and, maven 3.0 I am working on proxy. Also I tried this with eclipse galileo 3.5 and maven 2.2.1 but the result is same.

Suggest me the solution.

With eclipse helios, having eclipse down i deleted the directories under <workspace>.metadata\.plugins\org.maven.ide.eclipse\nexus and restarted eclipse; after that update worked fine.
