Hi folks, I'm building a p2 enabled RCP app using lastRevision as qualifier replacement strategy.

Thats working nicely for plugins and features, however for the product itself this doesn't seem to work: i.e. the Installed Software page in About shows the product as '1.0.0.qualifier', but the features below are versioned correctly.

Should that work? It would definitely make my life a little bit easier.

Btw the product file is located in the main UI plugin in case that matters.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Hi Philipp

I had the same problem and the solution was to place the product
definition into a feature.

Best regrards
Peter

Hi Peter, thanks for the pointer. I have tried around a bit, but ultimately couldn't get it to work.

When I move the product file to the root feature (i.e. the one that gets materialized), materialization/build will fail with feature not being found. Moving it to any other feature, the build will work again but replacement doesn't work here either Sad

I'm on the latest Bucky 3.6
