3.5RC3: target platform and plug-in source problem [message #63987]

When setting up the target platform, we have been using a plug-in that uses
the org.eclipse.pde.core.source extension point to contribute the source
code for our plug-ins. This approach appears to not work in 3.5RC3.

The new approach of creating source bundles does work, although it looks
like a reload of the target platform will not pick up the source bundles
properly as the search still fails to find the source. After removing the
target and adding it again I did get search to display the source.

Should the old approach still work, or has it been removed?
