Hello,

I had a similar issue with the Renesas tool based on Eclipse. It is called Renesas E2Studio platform. Currently, I am using, in my desktop, Window 7 64 bit. Of course, many updates I got and specially Java. I looked for on the Internet but no success.
In a couple of months ago, with just reboot the desktop, the issue was solved. But now, the issue persists.
Then, I found that msys-1.0 dll has been changed. Then, I got this new dll and I replaced it in the directory ...Renesas\e2_studio\eclipse\msys\bin . It´s not necessary to reboot the desktop. I repeated the operation I was doing (build my projetct in any target - release or debug) and I had success.
Here is the result of my project's compilation:

Cropping application done.
Start creating application validation structure ...
Application validation structure generated
Start creating parameters validation structure ...
Parameters validation structure generated
Done build all!
DDM VBF generation - application and parameters

13:51:18 Build Finished (took 3m:30s.831ms)

Maybe you can try this solution.
