Sabre Inc. is looking for Senior Developer/Architect for Eclipse RCP.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate for the Senior Architect position will be responsible for leading the architecture, design and implementation of the new composite application platform and software-as-a-service framework based on Eclipse RCP and Enterprise Java. The candidate should have up-to-date knowledge and/or active contributor to the technologies projects on Eclipse RCP and Equinox.
The individual will mentor our Eclipse RCP developers and will ensure that developers have a consistent set of patterns and standards for the design and develop of the many POS applications. The individual is expected to be able to operate at both a detailed code level and be able to communicate with business counterparts responsible for the business strategy of the products regarding the technical strategy and technology decisions.
The individual should have a passion for developing easy-to-use, highly innovative tools that provide 3rd party developers the ability to build, integrate and deploy their solutions in a composite application platform based on Eclipse RCP.
Experiences and Skills
BS/MS/PhD in computer science or in a related field
15+ years professional software development experience delivering enterprise software products over multiple releases
Experienced technical leader and advanced hands-on coder
Highly proficient in Java, J2EE and OOAD
Expert in Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and plug-in as well as OSGi Framework and Equinox knowledge
Extensive experience in client-side web technologies and toolkits such as AJAX, GWT, ExtJS, JavaScript, CSS, Java Swing, RAP, etc. and knowledge of Flex, .Net, C++, ActiveX
Experience in J2EE Architecture and Application Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss)
Extensive experience in building application using Eclipse RCP
Write concise development guidelines, patterns, and standards
Experience with usability, look and feel, work closely with UI Designers
Experience in enhancing Eclipse RCP UI and developing functionally and visually rich tools with an emphasis on usability and user experience of the product
Proof of concept and prototyping new technologies
Work effectively with minimal guidance and management
Solid understanding of user interface usability principles
Used agile programming practices
