ecorediag and ecore mismatch [message #630516] Sun, 03 October 2010 12:59

I understand ecorediag provide two operations for deleting element, delete key to delete element from ecorediag only and ctrl + del to delete it from both ecorediag and ecore file.

But user may habitually delete some incomplete element from ecorediag or re-create some elements with the same name with deleted one. Then there are some invalid elements in ecore file only. Though validation will give some clue about the invalid elements, it's still very inconvenient to find out which element is wrong or redundant. To make things worse, sometimes I mistakenly delete the right one out of ecore file and totally mess up the ecorediag file.

Is there any convenient method to find out which element is in ecore file but not in ecorediag?
