Hi,
I am having some problems using the EMF Compare tool when I compare 2 extended uml models. This is the error I receive :
Comparison throught EMF Compare failed.
Reason:
Value ' mailto:x.NoteImpl@123 ( name :<unset> ...etc)' is not legal.
Next is displayed the line and column in the A.myuml file where the error happens.
A.myuml file is a model containg uml2 elements and also elements from a custom metadata (this being extended from uml2).
I am having difficulties find out why this error happens because it apears only a pop-up message and nothing in error log is entered.
Does anybody else has encountered this type of error? If yes can you please guide me?
I would also like some hints where could I put some breakpoints to find out what is the source of the error.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Sorin.

Hi Sorin,
What I can say for sure is that it isn't specific to EMF Compare. Other
than that, it seems to be a validation error with your model (which
should also be displayed when you try to open your model in the sample
Ecore/uml editor.
How are you using EMF Compare (from GUI (right-click => compare with),
from code, ...)? And which versions of EMF Compare and Eclipse are you
using?
