If you type "free UML models" on Google then the only result you will get is "free tools" but no free model are available. This is just unacceptable for our modeling community !!
It is time to show that if you have for example a bank, or insurance or other model which already been created in UML you can immediately use model driven tool and get the full architecture of your project in just few minutes. Once the project has been created you just need to add your specific business rules and generate the code.
The modeling project would be completed almost immediately. As a result companies could save over 90% of time to market development and have a more robust architecture based on previous experiences. These models could be used by open source as well as professional UML tools as long as they respect the latest UML 2.2 specification and use the http://www.ejb3.org/eclipse_3x_eclipseuml.htm

How to get a free EclipseUML license worth $ 3,950 ?
You need to send to mailto:support@omondo.com the following :
- a written description of the modeling project
- a personal certification that this model could be donate as GPL to the community
Omondo team will create manually an UML 2.2 model composed by:
- UML diagrams (image export in jpg, png or other format) which are UML 1.x or later
- relational databases which have a JDBC driver
- java code project
The goal of this project is to focus on modeling rules related to business use and not on technology. We therefore don't want to get existing xmi created with other tools. We only wants as explained above UML graphical diagrams, relational databases or java code in order to create clean UML 2.2 models which respect model validation test.
