Exception Hint in VE Status Bar [message #618421] Wed, 11 August 2010 03:09
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi all,

I often have the problem with using self written swing components, that they cannot be displayed properly in the visual editor. This happens f.e. if someone (I'm working in a bigger company) tries to do database selects in the constructor of the swing class and then gets some exception because the database setup is only initialized when starting the compete program.

If the VE encounters a problem, the exception is displayed in the bottom left corner, but there is only the class shown.

Is there a possibility to get the full stacktrace of the exception displayed in the bottom left corner of the Visual Editor?
(to the left of the Writable | Smart Insert | Linenumber | In Sync fields).

Thanks for any hints!
